Basic Blue Rx works with Medicare to offer stand-alone prescription drug plans. Our plan provides additional protection against health costs by covering prescription drugs. Our members have access to a national network of pharmacies, so you're covered at home and when traveling within the United States.
Why Basic Blue Rx?
We worked with Medicare for many years
We know what it takes to work with government processes and succeed. Basic Blue Rx provides coverage for the drugs you may take today and protects you from the high cost of drugs you may need in the future. Choose between two premium and cost sharing options to find the right amount of coverage for your needs.
Members can appreciate how easy our plans are to use. They both have a pharmacy network that includes major chains across the United States and many independent pharmacies. The pharmacy network also includes pharmacies that offer preferred cost sharing where drug costs may be lower.
Pharmacy benefits through CVS Caremark*
As one of the largest independent prescription drug management companies in the country, CVS Caremark* also offers a wide range of services for Part D plans, including a rigorous Medication Therapy Management program and a mail order program to help members meet their prescription drug needs.
Once enrolled, you’ll have access to a nationwide network of pharmacies that include major chains as well as neighborhood pharmacies. You may go to any of our network pharmacies. However, your costs may be even less for your covered drugs if you use a network pharmacy that offers preferred cost sharing rather than a pharmacy that offers standard cost sharing.
Fall Annual Enrollment Period
Each year from October 15 to December 7, you can change your Medicare plan for the following year.
